Jakob Demšar, Bachelor of Law, retired, contract lecturer at the VŠR College of Accounting and Finance.30 years in the Police, where he was, among other things, for many years Chief of Criminal Investigators in Kranj, then in Ljubljana, and later Chief of the Economic Crime Division of the Criminal Police Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, and finally Director of the Kranj Police Directorate. He was a lecturer for many years at the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security in Ljubljana and the Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences in Celje, and still is a lecturer at the Academia Higher Professional School in Maribor and the Higher Vocational College for Hospitality, Wellness and Tourism Bled in Bled, in the fields of economic crime, economic and criminal law and criminology. In his spare time, he is also a long-time President of Društva kriminalistov Slovenije (the Slovenian Association of Criminalists), and a long-time active member (and in the meantime President and Vice-President) of Društvo pravnikov Gorenjske (the Gorenjska Association of L awyers. He is a lecturer for students and author of many professional and popular articles.
