dr. Gorazd Meško

Dr. Gorazd Meško is a professor of criminology. He teaches Criminology, Victimology, Criminology with Crime Policy, and Criminological Research and Ethics. He is involved in the empirical study of crime prevention, the causes of delinquent behaviour and various forms of criminality. He has organised several national and international conferences in the field of criminology and security studies. He is a member of international criminological associations and was President of the European Society of Criminology from 2016-2019. He is the author of Družinske vezi na zatožni klopi? (Family Ties in the Dock?,1997), Osnove preprečevanja kriminalitete (Fundamentals of Crime Prevention, 2002), Kriminologija (Criminology, 2016). He is also the editor of the international scientific monographs Handbook on Policing in Central and Eastern Europe (2013) and Trust and Legitimacy in Criminal Justice: European Perspectives (2015), and the conference proceedings of the biennial international conference Policing in Central and Eastern Europe/Criminal Justice in Central and Eastern Europe (2004-2018).
