Dr. Darja Gregorčič Bernik holds a PhD in the field of security studies at the Faculty of Security Sciences, University of Maribor. She is a tax consultant of the Chamber of Tax Advisors of Slovenia (ZDSS) and is registered in the register of the Confederation of European Tax Advisors – CFE (“Confederation Fiscale Europeenne”). She has more than 15 years of experience in the field of tax and has authored a large number of scientific and professional articles and papers at national and international conferences in this field. She has also gained extensive experience working for international tax and audit firms (Grant Thornton, PricewaterhouseCoopers). For the last 8 years, she has been employed by Spar Slovenija d.o.o., Ljubljana, as Head of Accounting and Tax Consulting for all Spar Group companies in Slovenia. Currently, she is employed as Head of Accounting and Finance at Cecomp d.o.o., a company active in the automotive manufacturing sector.
